Probably you already know the score, but if you dont the whole story of this record is included in the rar file. The album is so pricey because it’s thought to be the only surviving copy of the early version of The Velvet Undergrounds’ classic eponymous album.
The 1966 recording features nine alternative versions of Velvet Underground tracks and is thought to be part of the much reported Lost Scepter Studio Recordings.

Arguably the rarest and most important rock'n'roll and art artefact in the world". They claim that this is, in fact, the original version of the Velvets' legendary first album The Velvet Underground and Nico, their proof being that producer Andy Warhol apparently sent it as the finished article to Columbia records - who responded to the depravity within with the words to the effect of "do you think we're out of our fucking minds?"

Formed in London by Newcastle singer/lyricist Johnny Brown, the Band of Holy Joy was something of a theatrical English analogue to Poi Dog Pondering: a large and loose ensemble of varied semi-acoustic instrumentation (fiddle, accordion, harmonium, piano, trombone) that created idiosyncratic music in a number of nostalgic traditions. With nods to folk, cabaret, busking and literature, the group's records are emotional and articulate, using tasteful understatement and rustic simplicity to sell songs with unpredictably offbeat lyrical concerns. This is their first ever release on cassette in 1984.

Formed in Edinburgh in 1980 from the ashes of The Dirty Reds, the Fire Engines line up of Davy Henderson (guitar / vocals), Murray Slade (guitar) Russell Burn (drums) and Graham Main (bass) were, although very different in style, still very much part of a thriving Scottish post punk scene that featured Orange Juice, Josef K, Scars, Aztec Camera and The Associates. Inspired by the Voidoids and James Chance, their live shows were frenzied affairs, short sharp shocks, chaotic, unpredictable and never more than fifteen or twenty minutes long. Pure aggression, it was passionate and exciting - jagged guitars clashed with Burn's frantic drumming while Henderson randomly screamed and yelped undecipherable lyrics over the whole glorious noise. They released their debut single 'Get Up And Use Me'/ 'Everything's Roses' on their own Codex Communications label in the summer of 1980 attracting the attention of Postcard's Alan Horne and Bob Last who's Fast Label had recently released debut singles from The Mekons, Gang Of Four and Human League. Horne was desperate to sign the band to Postcard, but the Fire Engines ideals, vision and sound were more in In keeping with the Fast Records ethos. Last released their debut album 'Lubricate Your Living Room' soon after on his new imprint Pop Aural, a stunning eight track set featuring 'Discord', ‘New Thing In Cartons’, 'Hungry Beat' and ‘Plastic Gift’. The next single 'Candy Skin' / 'Meat Whiplash' was released the following year closely followed by the group's third and final single 'Big Gold Dream' / ‘Sympathetic Anaesthetic’ at the end of 1981, a performance on BBC 2's Riverside proved to be their swan song and that was it. Murray Slade and Graham Main went back to their day jobs, while Davy Henderson and Russell Burn formed Win in the mid eighties and the two are still together today as Nectarine No. 9.( From Domino Records Site )

The once and future kings of budget rock, the Mummies did for garage rock what the New Bomb Turks did for punk: stripped it to the frame, made it as raunchy as it deserved to be, and reminded everyone what was cool and crazy about the stuff in the first place. Of course, while the New Bomb Turks were able to build a career out of their roots punk cross-breed, the Mummies achieved their greatest notoriety after they broke up, but it's difficult to imagine the rawest edge of the garage revival bands existing without the guiding influence of the gauze-wrapped foursome.Formed in San Francisco, CA, in late 1988, the Mummies consisted of Larry Winther on guitar, Maz Kattauh on bass, trent ruane on organ and sax, and Russel Quan on drums; though it was sometimes difficult to tell just who was who since the band performed in mummy suits that made them appear to be wrapped from head to toe in Ace bandages. While the band found a home in the West Coast garage/surf revival scene alongside like-minded bands such as the Phantom Surfers and the Untamed Youth, the Mummies set out to be louder, cruder, and more obnoxious than anyone; bashing out frantic and primitive versions of such classics as "Justine" and "Shot Down" alongside middle-finger originals like "Your Ass (Is Next in Line)," "The Thing From Venus," and "Shut Yer Mouth" on cheap vintage gear rescued from pawn shops and garage sales. In 1990, the Mummies' first single appeared (on the band's own Pre-B.S. label), as did several 7"s on other labels followed, including Estrus, Planet Pimp, and Rekkids; eventually, the band's early singles were compiled on the LP The Mummies Play their Own records. (The album appeared on LP only; the Mummies made no secret of their antipathy for digital technology, emblazoning their slogan, "F*ck CDs," on the back covers of most of their records and refusing to release their material in the format, though this changed with the dawn of the 21st century.In early 1991, the Mummies cut an album for Crypt Records, but the results sounded a bit too clean and tidy for the band's liking, and the album went unreleased (though the material was later pirated on the infamous Fuck The Mummies bootleg); later that year, they took another stab at capturing their lo-fi assault on tape, and the result was their first (and only) proper Mummies studio album, the gloriously obnoxious Never Been Caught. After extensive West Coast gigging, a tour of the Northwest with Thee headcoats (garage icon Billy Childish called the Mummies his favorite American band) and a brief jaunt to the East Coast, the Mummies threw in the towel in January 1992, shortly before Never been Caught came out. However, the group briefly reunited in 1993 when fellow San Franciscans Supercharger asked the Mummies to open for them on a tour of Europe; being big fans of Supercharger, the Mummies agreed, and made enough of an impression on European rock fans that they were persuaded to come back for a headlining tour in the Spring of 1994. Since then, Ruanne, Kuttauah, and Quan have all played with the Phantom Surfers, while Ruanne has also worked with the Untamed Youth; kattuuah finds time to play in the Maybellines; and the busy Quan gigs with the Maybellines, the Bobbyteens, the Count buckwurds, and the Dukes of Hamburg. larry Winther, meanwhile, has recorded with the Orange Peels.

San Pedro, California's greatest musical export clearly understood the concept of brevity. The trio's albums and EPs pack an astonishing number of songs, most of which (on the early releases, at least) clock in at under a minute. In that brief time, they took apart rock, jazz and funk and put the pieces back together in a jagged collage. Although the Minutemen refused to write verses and choruses, based on their belief that rock'n'roll as we know it is a lethargic dinosaur, each of their songs is a satisfying composition.
The Minutemen saga began in 1980 as a four-piece called the Reactionaries that played regular-length songs. Later that year, they slimmed down (numerically speaking) and adopted their new name and radical modus operandi. They stuck to that twisted idea of dada with a groove until the end, and with one out-of-chronology exception, their records kept getting more ambitious and better.

Thankfully, their pounding, primitive voodoo cavepunk sound doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel to be successful, and Visitations proves it. From the opening notes of “Family,” the chugging, fuzzy rhythms and slightly menacing voice sound familiar, the riffs sliding over the din to create Venusian garage rock of the highest order. “Animal Human” is slow and creepy, led by a spare arrangement, zinging autoharp, and booming chimes. The addition of a wah-wah guitar doesn’t necessarily make it sound any less like Clinic, but the few new wrinkles here are welcome. Lead single “Harvest” bounces around to a hip-hop-derived tom-tom beat and skittering guitar scrapings before a shining organ washes color into the mix. Whereas its predecessor suffered from songs that sounded like they were dashed off in the car on the way to the studio, Visitations boasts well-crafted, smartly arranged tracks throughout.
